CRICKET.

On Saturday a party of boys from | Paraparaumu, accompanied by a mimI her of adults,, paid a visit to Shannon, ' when an enjoyable cricket match took place at the school between an eleven from the Shannon School and a team consisting of boys from the Paraparaumu School and members of the Paraparaumu Junior Cricket Club. The game was an enjoyable one but the visitors proved too strong for the local boys, winning by five wickets. At the conclusion of the game the party were motored out to Mangaovo where an inspection was made of the Power House.
