PARKING OF CARS IN MAIN STREET.

TO BE COMPULSORY. Attention was drawn by Cr. Curran, sen., at the Council meeting on Tuesday -evening- to the improper manner in which motor vehicles are being parked along the main street daily. He said persons should be compelled to park their cars properly. The Town Clerk replied that before anything in this direction can be done a traffic inspector would have to be appointed. The members of the Council agreed that the proper parking of cars in the business area should be enforced and appointed Mr. Bovis, traffic inspector. It was then resolved that the parking places for motor vehicles be the north side of Ballance Street and the west side of Plimmer Terrace, between signs to be erected. Motor vehicles using the parking stand must have back wheel to kerb, and must not remain stationary on any portion of Plimmer Terrace or Ballance Street other than the parking stand for more than twenty minutes. Instructions were given the traffic inspector to have these regulations stricti; enforced.
