SHANNON ATHLETIC CLUB’S SPORTS.
SATURDAY NEXT.
The public are again reminded that the Shannon Athletic Club’s -annual v sports fixture will take place on the Domain on Saturday, commencing at noon. Entries for the meeting closed on Saturday evening, all the events filling well, so that all required now is a fine day for the Club to be assured of a successful gathering. The committee report that the cycle and running tracks are in excellent order, therefore with the good fields some fine racing should be witnessed. The entries received this time come from far afield and; include quite a number of well-known performers.-*. The Railway Department have, arranged with thp Club to convey passengers to Shannon for the sports at excursion fares, ' which are available until Monday. < Having, received this - concession thO L i Clutrare advertising it extensively, inviting visitors to stay over the weekend and, visit Mangahao. As the committee are using every effort to boost the town it is. hoped the citizens and business men will give their .support.
