NEW DRESS COLOURS
Pinks ranging in tones from musk melon to a deep rose blush. Fawns, including pink tea-rose beige. Blue in a lovely shade called Arabian blue. Navy blue again. Black. Mahogany brown. Those are the colours fashion has let out of her bag- for tb e coming season. Pink is an easy first, both for day and evening wear. Evening gowns, made either in picture fashion or much draped, are often in that same new pink which has the effect of being brushed lightly over with a peachlike bloom. The soft velvety finsh is to be found on many of the new materials. The chief dress changes coming along include:—higher waists, glove sleeves, shaded frocks, two-picce even ing outfits.
Waists will now be up at the . frontand low at the back, she declared. “These zig-zag waists are to be seen on a number of the newest models and ar-e consistent with the new irregular length , which is longer at the back than the front.
“Evening frocks specially will display this tendency. For everyday wear skirts will be as short as 'ever, just covering the knee.” The glove sleeve gets its nam e from the fact that some of the newest models have two-colour sleeves, and that the lower half, which fits fairly tight to the arm, gives a glove-like c fleet.
Two-piece evening outfits, comprising a sleeveless frock and a coatee or sleeved shawl, will be seen next season Belts, square necks, fringe and beads are other dress items which will b'e observed.
