FURNITURE POLISH

This is an excellent and economl 1 eal polish. Take 2oz. of white wax, i'oz. bees wax, half a cake of Castile soap, 1 pint of turpentine, 1 pint of boiling water. Shred' the wax and . the Castile soap very fine, put them into a stone (airtight) jar, pour on the turpentine, stir well for five minutes, shut down the jar with an airtight lid, and have it put away for 24 hours or more. After this pour on the boiling wafer, stirring all the while until the polish becomes white and thick. Keep it in a closed airtight jar. and pour out what \§ r% quired each time into a small or jar. It is most essential to use • clean, soft cloths in applying it. This polish is equally useful for polishing oilcloth and patent leather boots, which it. preserves.
