The'first visit for some years was received from the Otaki Bowling Club on Wednesday, afternoon when three rinks from that Club played a friendly game on the local green. The green was in good order but a tricky wind at times made play difficult; neverthe-less-the games were keenly contested, Otaki winning on tlio .aggregate by one point. A return visit will be paid to Otaki next month. Hollowing were the* scores, Otaki being mentioned first in each instances. — .Witehell, Moore, Wyatt, Wil mot (s) 22 v. Aim, Grey, Clayton, Knowles (s) 18. ‘ ‘ ' - I’reeman, Smallbone, Smith, Mil ward (s) 20 v. Branu, Burns. Mason, Jones 00-23. : Hawca, Bills, Amyes, Noble (s) 16 v. Gunning, Wilkinson, Blaik.ie, Bovis (s) 16. Only 18 headl| were played in this game.
