MANY APPLICANTS FOB POSITION THREE TO INTERVIEW THE ! COUNCIL. Forty-one applications, which came from addresses scattered all-over the Dominion, were received by the Horo; vvhenua County Council for the vacant position of County Engineer. They were considered in detail by a special committee of the Council on Friday night, and five were selected for submission to the Council! These were dealt with in committee by the Council on Saturday afternoon and were reduced to three. It was decided, that the three applicants be asked to interview the Council on Thursday, January 26th, at 11 a.m.
