WORLD’S CHAMPION GADGETEER
Nominated as the champion possessor of gadgets hung on to his car is Mr Douglas Seaton, an English motorist who has managed to squeeze into the driving compartment of his car 43 different instruments, gauges and accessories.
Here they are:— Two windscreen wipers, flower vase, dash light, horn ring on steering, signalling switch, radiator control shutter, ash tray, aneroid, gradient and performance meter, inspection lamp, radiator thermometer, speedometer, headlight dimmer,, revolution counter, oil gauge, another dash light, toilet set, petrol gauge, reversing light switch, Bosch switchboard, clock, fan control, thermo radiator thermometer, Winex pump, vacuum tank suction control, slowrunning control visible filter, another oil gauge, exhaust cut-out control, inspection lamp, gear lever, hand brake headlight control, foot switch for horn, clutch, footbrake, accelerator, thermometer carburettor control, switches for two-note horn. Despite this there is still room for a driver and a passenger in the car.
