FOLDING A COAT

The best way of folding a coat,, when it is to be packed, is that practised by tailors and dry cleaners when sending home men’s coats (says the ‘Manchester Guardian’). Button the coat, lay it face downwards on a table or bed, sleeves outstretched and collar pointing to the right side, fold the right sleeve . across the back bo that reaches to the middle line. Fold over the coat till it reaches to the middle line, taking care that the right sleeve, which wjll be .inside the fold, is not; creased. Place the left sleeve across the coat, into two or three, according to its length, sleeve inside. Lay tissue paper betAteen each fold. A wider coat should be buttoned, fastened at the hem, laid button-side downwards, and both sleeves folded across the pack, before the coat is folded lengthways.
