COLOUR AND DRESS
It has been proved by definite'tests and experiments that the effect of certain colour on certain types of \vomen is to heighten facial lints and shadows and to make the face look older.
It is difficult to tell the fair-skinned brunette just what colours to avoid for a s has already been said, of all types she has the widest colour choice. Generally speaking, however, the following shades are the least complimentary:—Brown, medium, or light green purple, pure strong .blue. Black alone doe s not do justice to this type, since its tendency is - to lower what could be a strong personality. Even a black hat will be much' more becoming and enlivening if a touch of white or fed is used in the. trimming. A black frock will prove infinitely more satisfactory if a vest or collar and cuffs of white —not harsh, clear white,, you understand, but the white of georgette or organdi—are added, —'Home Chat.'
