"SMOKO" AT MANGAORE.
INTER-ISLAND PING PONG CONTEST. On Wednesday evening, the 9th inst., the annual Intfr-Lsland Ping Pong Contest was held at Mangaore, being followed by a srnoko. About fifty en--thusiasts (which included visitors from Shannon) followed the games very closely and after a keen struggle, North Island emerged, victors by 21 points. Both teams were keenly supported aiid enthusiasm ran very high. North Island thus avenged their heavy defeat of 1925.

It is probable that the Mangaore Ping Pong Club will challenge the Shannon Spoit's and Pastimes Club to a series of games for the possession of the Moyniiiar..
