•STAGE MADNESS." Love, humour, pathos, and a touch of tragedy are adroitly blended in "Stage Madness," which will be screened on Saturday. Virginia Valli plays the feminine lead in this graphic portrayal of theatrical life, with its locale in Paris and New York. This charming actress, who has recently appeared in several Fox feature pictures, has a role ideally suited to her talents. She appears as a dancer of renown who stakes her all upon a career, to the exclusion of home and family. She is supported by an excellent cast, including Tullio Carmenati, Lou Tellegen, Richard Walling, Virginia Bradford, Tyler Brooke and ohers.

Cowboy," a Uni-versal-Jewel, which will be shown at the local theatre on Monday. The picture is a hilarious comedydrama, presenting Western farce and action at its best, directed by Lynn Reynolds from an original story by himself. The story revolves around a feud between neighbouring cattle kings. [' Hoot Gibson, as a cowboy detective, I disguised as a knight of the open road, appears on the scene for the purpose of solving a number of mysterious hap--1 penbigs, which have brought about a state of-open warfare between two erstwhile friendly neighbours. In his blundering, innocent way, he finds, himj self in hot water from the moment he I appears on the scene.
