SHAREMILKING CASE.

ADJUSTMENT OF ACCOUNTS. Judgment was given in the Magistrate’s Court, Levin, on Friday in the case in which A.H. Hill, a sliaremilker, sued H. E. Williams, for whom he had been milking on contract at Shannon, for £lO2 18s 2d, of which the defendant admitted liability for £6l 11s, representing plaintiff’s half-share from pigs £43 19s 3d, half share from calves £l6, and share of May .cheque for butter-fat £J Ha fid. The balance m dispute was made up of various sums deducted from plaintiff’s factory cheques or expended by him in respect ot .eed, manures, repairs and other items. The defendant counter-claimed for £IOO 16s lid, (which .included work done and money advanced. Mr. Moody appeared for the plaintiff, and Air. Grant for the defendant. His Worship stated that the agreement was. ui some respects an unusual one, and in many respects it was strongly favourable in its terms to the owner. That, however, was a matter which did not concern the Court, since .he share-milker had deliberately entered into this agreement and must be deemed to have been tully awaie ot ts terms. Judgment was giver, for plaintiff, on the claim, for £76 2s sd, with costs, and for defendant on the counter-claim, for £7O 17s 9d, with costs. The particulars of the amounts awarded were as under: — Claim. —Items admitted £6l Us. freight on seed (half)' 4s 7d, freight on kerosene (half) £2, scrim 12s, cost of terosene (half) £lO 7s 6d, cost of manare (half) £1 7s 4d; total, £76 2s sd. Counter-claim. —Use of machines 523 Us, valuation (half fee) 5s 3d, cleaning drain (half) £lO 13s, cutting goat’s rue £7 4s, advance by chequei2o, amount overpaid April £5 0s 6d, •ent £3 15s, three panes of glass 9s; i total £7O 17s. 9_d., ......
