GOLF NOTES.

Golfers are again reminded of the August medal match to be played tomorrow. It is hoped that as many as possible will make an effort to takepart. A note regarding lost balls: Players should have bUls marked with iheiv own brand and such should be shown on the -membership sheet in the golf iioi-se. SHANNON v. LEVIN ANNUAL MATCH. A very enjoyable outing took place at the Buckley links on Saturday, when teams of ten men and seven ladies froni "he Levin Golf Club played the annual Inter-club match with teams from the Shannon Club. The aggregate was in favour of Shannon, the results being: Men's games, Levin 2|, Shannon 7j. Ladies' games, Levin 4, Shannon 3. The visitors were hospitably entertained, afternoon tea being dispensed by lady members of the Shannon Club. Following are the details of the games, Levin .players being mentioned first in >.'ach case: —- MEN'S PLAY. Geo. France lost to Goodwin. M. J. Suhan lost to A. Morgan. J. D. Brown lost to A. Saxon. W. Bull won from J. Gagliardi. J. Varnham lost to W. Jones. D. Todd lost to McKenzie. W. Smaill halved with Burgis. Geo. Wilson won from Blackwood. E. Crisp lost to Johnston. F. Green ?ostt to Stern. Games: Levin 2J, Shannon 7L LADIES' PLAY. Miss Kebbell lost to Mrs Saxon. Mrs Park lost to Mrs Morgan. Miss N. Whitaker lost to Miss Saxon. Miss Ivilsby won from Miss Sinclair. Miss Cadell won from Miss Johnston. Mrs Hunter won from Miss Cronquest. Miss M. Bevan won from Miss Spencer. Games: Levin 4, Shannon 3.
