LIGHTHOUSEKEEPER’S CREED. Mr F. A. Macquisten, K.C., Conservative M.P. for Argyllshire, will draw attention in the House of Commons to the case of Norman Shaw, employed in a lighthouse on the Argyllshire coast, who w r as dismissed after.. 10 years’ service, because he refused to accept instruction in the use of a wireless installation on Sundays. Shaw, in a letter to the Lighthouse Commissioners, said, “It is sad that the commissioners should demand such disregard of the Lord’s Day, as neither masters nor servants can escape the righteous judgments of the Lord, nor the terrors of an awkward conscience. Those despising the Sabbath shall find Etemitv long enough to lament of their folly.
