GOLF NOTES.

BOGEY MATCH.

To-morrow the first bogey match of the season will be played. Members are requested to enter on their cards in the spaces provided, not the bogey for the holes, but the bogey as it would actually be for their handicaps. For example an 18 handicap player would add one to each of the actual bogeys. Thus his bogey for No. 1 would be 5; not 4 as shown on the board; and so right through the card. Where strokes are actually to be taken is shown by a bogey-sheet at the golf house. At the end of the game players will enter on their cards how many they are up or down on bogey. To-morrow also, tlie team to play Manawatu here on the 30th will be selected. Now that the. long-drive, pegs arc in place the mighty hitters will no doubt endeavour to add further distances to those' already recorded. It will be interesting at the end of. the season to measure some of those drives.
