A message from Berlin states that the general strike in Vienna has suddenly ended and trains have already resumed running. Vivid descriptions come from Bratislava of incidents in yesterday’s crucial period. It is stated that the streets represented an extraordinary scene of troops, machine guns, police and sightseers. The mob attacked Dr. Seipel’s motor car, but the bodyguard drove them back, using revolvers. Mobs of Socialists and Communists continually attacked the police. They raided the police station in one suburb and killed eight occupants.
