RADIO LICENSES.

NEARING 20,000 MARS.

The number of radio licenses issued and renewed throughout the Dominion for the current year is now close on 20,000. The latest return shows a total of 19,579 licenses registered up to the 2nd June, comprising 18,326 listeningin licenses,. 1155 dealers’ licenses, and 98 transmitters’ licenses.

The receiving licenses are distributed as follows:

16,492 1834 18,826 Dealers’ licenses number 351 in Auckland, 197 in Canterbury, 132 in Otago, and 475 in Wellington.
