OTAKI BOUNDARIES.
READJUSTMENT INVOLVES MUCH WORK. The Under Secretary for Internal Affairs has forwarded to the Horowhcnla County Council a copy of the gazette notice re-defining the boundaries of the ireas affected by the alterations' ot the boundaries of Otaki borough. When the covering lettc was read it the County Counc?! meeting on Saturday, the Clerk (Mr. F. H. Hudson) explained that, owing to the alteration if the iborough boundaries, it had been necessary to re-gazotte the Otaki riding boundaries. - The Chairman (Cr. G. A. Monk), in moving that the communication be received, remarked that the continual taking away of land and giving it back ‘o the county was necessitating a trenendous amount of work in the office. There were so many loans involved, idjustmcnts of interest money not laid, and so forth, that it was very lilfieult for the County Clerk and the Otaki Town Clerk to adjust the matter, which involved not hours .but days of .vork. The County had np control over his business; commissions sat and the and seemed to be constantly slipping. On the motion of the Chairman, sec mded by Cr. Ryder, the communication was received.
