In regard to the complaint from Mr Curran and others: that the Council were draining watei on to their-properties, the Committer on making an inspection, find that the watercourse is a small one and is block ed with willow weed and wants cleaning out. It takes a twisting course in from ferry road for about five chains. It does not appear to be a drain cut, but a watercourse that has been kept open. The roadmen are nov. engaged in tarring the footpaths, bui the work does not seem satisfactory the. sand does not seem to have any ad hering effect.
