WAR ON WHEELS.

A MECHANISED ARMY. LONDON, MARCH 19. During the next three years, the War Office will carry out a great experiment. It is expected that this will produce an entirely mechanisad army, including "100 par cent, fighting tank," also a semi-tank trader, capable of transporting supplies for guns, and being used as a Held kitchen, all of which "will necessitate the revolutionising of the training. Quality, not quantity,' will be the aim, the experts agreeing that the armies in the Great War were, too unwieldly to operate with the strat-; egic finesse essential for the gaining of a speedy victory. The future army will comprise three I distinct ■.forces: Firstly, high-trained ! mechanics, equipped with tanks and I tractor machines, which will crash with mobile might against the enemy; secondly, specially-trained infantry to join in the fight; thirdly, a large force to occupy conquered territory. Cavally will be used only for scouting.
