He understood that a new meter had noAV been installed at Shannon and that it showed a decided difference-as-compared with the original meter and the -former test .meter.

The Engineer stated that this Avas so. He bad put in a neAV indicator on the other phase, and as far as could be made. out it was the starting current that had been causing the load to go up. The trouble had reference to the way in which -the starter Avas connected *on the motor. The new indicator shoAved a loAver reading and brough; doAvn the company’s peak load considerably.
