An American and an Englishman were having an argument about a sausage machine. ; “It’s a big affair,” the American explained, “and simply wonderful. You-* drive the pig through a hole iu themachine, and five minutes later out come the sausages.” ii “What becomes of the hide!” asked tho Englishman. “The hide!” came the answer. “Oh that falls out of another part of the machine in purses, shoes, or saddles — Hj just a matter of setting a lever.” . ■ “Is that all!” said the Englishman. ■ ‘ ‘ Well, we,,’ve used a machine like that for 20 years now, and, what’s more, H we’ve improved upon it.Sometimes;■ the sausages are found to be not quite-M ip to the standard. -1 “Well, what happens then!” . I u Why, we just put them back in tho-H nachino, reverse the engine, and out ■ walks the pig as fit ag a fiddlel” H
