SHANNON ATHLETIC CLUB'S SPORTS.
TO-MORROW—SATURDAY. The fourth annual sports meeting of the above Club will be held in the Domain to-morrow, .zommencing at noon. A varied programme has been arranged consisting of field, running,;, cycling, axemen's and dancing events, for which large vmtries have been received. Some close and interesting finishes should be witnessed. Competitors will be present from Wellington, Wanganui, Dannevirke, and Palmerston North, including Mr Sutherland, the champion - high jumper. The Highland Band from Palmerston North-will contribute musical items during the day. The running and cycling tracks are"' in gocd order, and with the large entries, all that remains for the Club to have a successful gathering, will be a fine day. HANDICAPS FOR CHOPPING EVENTS.
