BATHING SUITS
Silk stockinet is used for many attractive bathing models. This is a material that is quite practical, and as the tunic skirt that accompanies the ordinary bathing dress is easily removed, a bathing suit of this kind is as practical a 3 a woollen model. Taffeta i-i another favourite medium and frequently supplies the background for elaborate embroidery In bright colours. Flowers may be used in the design, or, if one wants to suit the dress to the occasion, seaweed, or fishes, or lobsters, or crabs. An amber taffeta bathing dress showed silken crabs applique along the hem of the jumper top, and pink lobsters decorated a model of navy blue silk.
