MANGAHAO SUPPLEMENTED BY WELLINGTON. '' I hear there is trouble at Mangahao again in regard to water supply," said Mr A. Ross at the Power Board meet--tiicr on Tuesday. The Engineer (Mr J. A. Smith) stated that the steam plant at Wellington had been running for some time to augment, the current by 1000 kilowatts. Mr Ross: I heard that if we did not get rain soon Mangahao would have'to shut down altogether. The Engineer: I don't think so. Th(:re is an arrangement wiih the steam plants and no danger of shutting down at all. Reference was made by the Engineer and the Secretary to rain which had fallen that morning ir. the southern end of the district, and the Chairman said he expected that rain would fall in the hills very shortly.
