LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
Particularly large yardings of all classes of stock were made at the weekly sale it Levin yesterday. The attendance of the public was good, and the demand brisk. The rain, which fell at midday caused a delay in the auction, and owing to the heavy eutiies the sale did not conclude until after 5 o’clock. Some 200 pigs were yarded, and the disposal of them kept the auctioneers busy until long after the lunch hour. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd-, report the following prices:— Sheep.—Fat wethers 235, 24s and22s,5 5, fat ewes 14s 4d and 18s, store ewes 9s fid to 10s fid, two-tooth wethers 18s to 20s. Woolly rape lambs 17s fid, medium lambs 34s to 15s lOd, cull lambs os to 9s. Cattle. —Light fat cows £3 18s and £4, forward cows £3 ss, £3 7s 6d and £3 10s, store cows 35s to £2, potter bulls £4 and £5, three-year steers £5 ss, small vealers 255. Pigs.—Small -weaners 15s, 17s and 38s fid, better sorts 20s, 25s fid to 29s fid, light porkers £2 2s to £2 6s, heavy porkers £2 9s, £2 10s, £2 13s, £2 14s to £2 18s.
