LEVIN SALE. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that at their weekly stock sal; at ■ Levin yesterday there were small yardings of sheep and pigs, and a fairly'large varding of cattle. The cattle penned consisted principally of fat cows, :and prices were easier, competition being poor. Heavy fat cows realised froi'i t£s to £6 10s, medium fat cows £3 10s to £4, light fat cows £3 2s 6d to £3 10s, fat heifers £4 li>s, forward cows £2 12s to £2 18s Gd, store cows 30s to 38s. DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. - AVERAGE PRICES IN LONDON. SALES TO AMERICA. The N.Z. Dairy Produce Board advises as follows: — Sales in London. —For thy four week? ended 7th January, 1927, the following -quantities of dairy produce under con trolof the Board have boon sold:— ■ Creamery butter, 130,086 boxes. Whey butter, 2,916 boxes. Cheese. 39,889 crates. For the purpose of assessing values "it may be taken that the sales represent to mid-October gvadings for butter *ind the first week October gradings for «hee se. The average prices realised in London for the above were as follows:--Creamery butter 171 s 6d per cwt. Whey butter, 149 s per cv.t. Cheese 93s 3d per cwt. Sales to Canada.—Total straight out sales by the Board of butter to Canada, through Montreal and Vancouver, to ( date are: 85,700 boxes.
