BUTTER PROSPECTS BRIGHT.
LEVIN PAYS FINAL BONUS FOR LAST YEAR. - 'THE NOVEMBER PAY-OUT. . For the average dairy farmer th? prospects for the 1926-27 season have up till just recently presented a gloomy aspect and the conditions existing have been felt: by almost .everyone, particularly those closely connected with ' the industry. October and; November- had heir unseasonable weather together with 1 depressed markets' and this has made the farmer's lot a hard-one. I The daily make at the the Levin Dairy I Co. is approximately 4| tons, which is about on a par with the make at this time last yaa/, but up to the end of October the production was 18 tons less than in 192JL and to the end of November was *1 tons less. The Directors of the Levin Dairy;Co. a find that they are able to pay a bonus of one-third "or! a penny per pound for the whole of th . lyjtterfat supplied during the 1925-26 season, ' wliich makes' the average pay Out for last season just over Is 7jd per ib. Another bonus was not expected by the suppliers and the announcement wfll come as a pleasant Christmas present to them. For the buttcrfat supplied during the month of Noveniber, l*s 2d per pound will be advanced, which is quite a satisfactory payniAit and is anticipated t'i compare more tfyaii favourainy with the pay-out of other companies.
