NEW PENNY STAMP.
IT IS NOW ON SALE. AN OLD FRIEND SUPERSEDED. WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. The issue to-day of an entirely nsAV penny stamp for the Dominion of New Zealand besides being tin event of interest to philatelists and of.ivrs, .sou mis the death knell of that old familiar friend, the Universal penny stamp, which has been in use for cl >se oil 26 •*years. The stocks of the old type of penny stamp still on hand will be disposed of over the counters, until they are exhausted, but wherever preference is shown by the new stamps they -will be supplied if available.
