SHANNON WINS DIXON CUP. A Shaunon rink consisting of Messrs H. Butt, White, Gagliardi and Whibley (skip) journeyed to Feilding on Saturday and met. the holders of the Dixon Cuo. They Avere successful in their mission and after an exciting and keenly contested game, Avere in the proud position of being able to bring the cup back Avith them. Shannon did not - c pen their score Avell as at the eighth head they Avere eleven doAvn to one, but from this head on they commenced to make up the lost ground and at the last head they ran out winners by 26 ' to 14. They scored 25 points Avliile the holders AA*ere securing three. Included in Shannon’s score Avas four threw? and a four. On Saturday next Palmerston will play Shannon for the Cup.
