THIS WEEK’S SITTING. The Magistrate’s Court sat in Levin oh Thursday, the presiding justices being Messrs P. W. Goldsmith and E. Lancaster, J,’-sP. The following cases were dealt with: — BREACHES OF BY-LAWS. On the information of the police— R. Y. Thompson, riding a bicycle without a light, fined ss, costs 7s. S. L. Freeman, driving a motor (ar in Oxford Street, at a speed greater • than 12 miles an hour, fined 10s, costs 7 s. C. R. Hart, riding a motor cycle in Queen Street, Levin,'without a silencer, fined 10s and costs 7s. 11. Somerville, driving a motor car along Oxford Street and failing to keep to the left, when turning into Queen Street, fined 10s, costs 7s. ✓ On the information of A. C. Astridge, Borough Inspector— W. May, riding a bicycle without a light, fined Is' and costs 9s. I. Pentecost, riding a bicycle after sunset without a light, fined os and costs 7s. C.
