BUTTER & CHEESE ADVANCES.
UNIFORM THROUGHOUT NEW ZEALAND. As far as can bo • gathered at the moment advance payments, to bo made to suppliers of dairy companies tliroug-hout the Dominion on tho 20th instant, Avill bo very much on a uniform basis. The reason for this may no doubt be found'in the fact that the payments made by the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board are on a similar basis. Reports fro?n Taranaki and Auckland indicate that thirteen pence per lb. butterfat will be the avcrago for both butter and eheeso suppliers. In the Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay, factories are slig-htly more conservative and advances appear approximately one shilling. In tho ManaATatu and surrounding districts payments run from l s to Is 2d. while several of the South Island factories are paying only lid. The folloAving is a list of advances made by tho various companies in the district for. milk and cream supplied during tho month of October:—
