At present Nos. 3 and 4 courts are much in need of re-marking and of new nets, but, as funds are not altogether profuse, it oehoves all the members to rally round with every possible assistance,' ■ ' '„ -

At the request of junior members of the club, tlie committee has arranged a dance in tha Parish Hall on Tuesday, November 23rd, when they trust all members will ehow their allegiance to the club by attending. The dance is a public one, and no effort is being spared by the organisers to make the evening, an enjoyable, one for all. Several novelties will be included in the programme, including one quite new to Shannon. Good music and a dainty supper »(hou]d complete* a successful evening. ;

It is hope.l in the near future to arrange a series of the* previously very successful "colour'/ matches, when every member present gets an equal number of games, and some of the younger players get an insight into the methods of runniag.au inter-club" match.' Weather conditions have so far been against arranging matches with outside clubs. One or two ladder matches have been playe already, while* several -more names are on the challenge board. The selection committee would like $o see some of 'x.e new members try conclusions for their'position on the ladder.
