SHANNON CHORAL SOCIETY.
The public are reminded for the last time of the concert to be given by the Shannon Choial Society on Thursday next and eaxpected to be' the best yet. The choir have put in some hard work and have thoroughly enjoyed the train ing and music lovers may look forward to a rich treat. This society is not out to make money—only to pay its way. It is an educational society and is an asset to the town and a good training for young singers and doubtless Shannom'us will give it their loyal support. A full programme appears in this issue and tickets are selling well. Patrons are advised to secure their tickets and ensure seats. The choir will hold their final rehearsal in the, Theafre on Tuesday night and it is to be hoped that all members will roll up to put the finishing touches to the pieces. Arrangements are well in hand for the society's trip to Mangahao, and members are os-ked to let the secretary know, at once if they can inake the trip in the afternoon to start about 2.30 . v
