SHANNON STOCK SALE
• The monthly stock sale was held in .-/ the Shannon yards yesterday, in the presence of a small attendance of buyers. A fair yarding of cattle,came forward, while the ,sh,?ep entries were small. Although the bidding dragged throughout, with the exception of two' ,' big lines of cattb?. the other lines changed hands- at satisfactory prjees, which , were on a par with recent sales held iu the district. The .following are some of the prices realised:— Sheep,: Woolly • hoggets 22s lOd to 26s 3d. Cattle. Yearling heifers £2 5s to £2 N 7s 6d; :- dairy cows in milk £2 to £3 10s,"forward ' v empty heifers £3 10s, fat cows £4 10si to £5, empty cows £2,v£2 Bs> £2 lis and; ' £2 15s, crossbred heifers running with bull, o'7s; yearling bulls £5.
