LET IN ULTRA-VIOLET RAYS.
LONDON Oct. 6. Following on an interesting health i test, the Smethwiek Education Com-3-mittee decided to ecpip a number of 3 selected schools .with Vitagiass I windows, allowing the Paf a & € to \ ultra-violet rays. The new glass was .'installed in a single class-room nine } months ago and a class of hoys i aged nine to eleven, were sheeted . to careful .observation. Test showed | that all the pupils gained considerably more in height, weight and coiI ouring matter in the Mood than the /hoys in the adjoining class-room, -' with ordinary glass windows, wmcn I cut out the ultra-violet rays almost § completely.
