FOOTBALL.

WEBAROA THIKDS BEAT FOXTON. On Saturday the Wcraroa Thirds beat Foxton Thirds by 14 points to 3 in the semi-final for the competition. Half the playing ground was under water and so a battling forward game resulted in which the visiting team proved superior. Tries' were scored for Weraroa by Walton, Gill, Vickers and Taylor while Lankshear converted one. It would not be fair to single out any particular player for his good work as all the forwards toiled and .stuck to it until the end, while the backs did all that could be expected of them under the conditions. Mr Pene controlled the Players are reminded 1o attend practice on Thursday night next.
