Cr.. .Tensen expressed the hope that the second bitumen boiler would be obtained early and that it would not have narrow wheels which damaged the road. He asked whether the graders ordered had arrived yet. The engineer said the boilers were 'on hand and would be'supplied in plenty of time. The graders were on a boat that was now off the coast, according to advice he had received. Otaki Biding Matters. Or. Bryant said there were complaints about the electric lights at Manakau being out. The chairman said all that the residents should 'do was ring up the Power Board's representative in Otaki, and attention would be given. Cr. Bryant asked for something to be done on the Waskawa Beach Road. If the grader was available he thought some horses could be obtained. ; . Tokomam Eiding. Cr. Barber asked the engineer to get the Makerua Drainage Board to complete the work on the Okukii Road as soon as possible for the benefit of settlers further out, who had had a very rough time.
