POWER CONSUMERS GROWING.

INCREASES IN FIVE MONTHS. Steady progress continues in the electrical development of the Horowhenua Power Board’s district. During the month just past 28 new consumers have signed up and -in this » number there are 10 water-heaters. 4 ranges, 6 milking motors and 2 industrial motors, totalling 76 h.p. Seventeen applications have been received for extensions to existing installations, and these include 8 milking motors, 7 waterheaters and 3 ranges. Forty new consumers have been connected up, installations comprise' 27 milking and separating motors, 27 waterheaters, and 11 ranges. The following comparison shows the total number of consumers and installations in March and at the nresent time:—
