WEDDING BELLS.
GRAY—-PAYNE. A pretty wedding was celebrated yesterday at Ven. Bede’s Church, Shannon, by the Rev. Farnell, the contracting parties being Ivy Myrtle eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Payne, Julian Street, Shannon, and William Frederick Reid, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Gray, of Venn Street. The bride, who was given awaiy by her father, wore a white crepe de chine frock, with panels of georgette and pearl trimmings; with the cus-totm-ary veil and loirange blossoms. She was attended by her sister, Miss Ruby Payne, as bridesmaid, who was frocked in pale .green crepe de Thine with a wreath of orange buds. Mr Stan. Greygoose was best man. A reception was afterwards held at the Parish Hall where about sixty guests were entertained. The presents, which included several cheques, were numerous and costly. Later in the day the happy couple left, for the North on their honeymoon. The bride’s travelling dress was a cedarwood gaberdine coat- frock with shoes, stockings and hat to match.
