GOLF NOTES.

JULY MEDAL MATCH. Another very pleasant day of golf was spent at the links on Saturday, when the match for the July medals Was played. An easterly wind made play somewhat uncertain and consequently the scoring was high. The fairways had dried up a great deal since the previous Saturday, and as the greens were in tip-top order golf generally was most enjoyable. Of course, a few balls were lost ais always happens, and the river again added one or two more to its total. The ladies’ medal was won by Miss Cole and the men’s by Mr J. Murray. These two players now possess two medals each, and no doubt the hairdieappers will be reviewing their handicaps.
