THE SHOW OPENS TO-MORROW.
PALMERSTON N., June 14,
The 24iii annual Winter Show of the Manawatu A. anil P. Association opens to-morrow and there is every indication of a great success. Results in the but ter classes were announced to-day. Mr W. S. Death, manager of the Awahuri Factory, wins outright the Lovell and Christmas 100-guinea Gup for tire championship of New Zealand, he having won it three times. ■ Awahuri Factory headed the list in this competition, but was barred from the award, having been a previous winner on, l two occasions. The award was shared by O'koia Company and Shannon, each 188 points. ■The provincial gold medals were won as follows:
Auckland.—Cambridge factory. Welling-ton-Hawkes Bay.—Awahuri. Taranaki.—-Mangorei.
South Island.—
-Golden Goast.
T|he judges commented that it was gratifying to note the increased entries over last year and also congratulated the managers of the companies oin the very fine qualities of the exhibits. Flavour, body, texture, colour and salting were well up to the standard of high-class butters. DETAILS OF AWARDS.
