STEADY MARKET FOR GOOD EWES CHKISTCHURCH, Last Night. There were heavy fat stock, but small store sheep entries at th e Aldington sale to-day. / Store sheep: The outside sheep were comprised of a few drafts from Nel.son and Otago. There was a steady market for good ewes, with a drop of Is to 2s per .head for lambs, and an improvement of up to 2s for wethers. Good 2-toothed cross-bred owes 335, sound mouthed cross-bred ewes 25s to 27s 6d, failing mouthed cross-bred ewes 18s 3d to 22s Cd. failing mouthed half-bred ewes 24s to 28s 6d, aged ewes v 15s to 16s, forward lambs 203 6d to 225, medium lambs 17s 6d to ISs 9d, inferior lambs 12s to 15s, three-quarter bred ewe lambs 27s 6d, four and six toothed wethers 23s to 27s Gd. Eat lambs: A, small entry of 1450 head, and a brisk sale at firmer values than last. week. Extra prime heavy lambs to 34s 7d, prime heavy lambs 2Ss (id to 3'ts 6d, medium weight prime lambs 27s to 29s 6d, medium quality lambs 24s to 26s 6d, light lambs 21s to 23s 6d.

JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Messrs. Abraham & Williams,, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson & Co., Ltd., report as follows re the Johnsonville sale, held on Wednesday, May 26: A good quality yarding of both sheep and cattle came fof ward, although very few lambs were penned.
