The husband as a soldier, the wife as a nurse, and the other woman has join.od the Y.M.C.A. for the sole reason of being near her lover. In the course of the picture she realises what a despicable part site is playing, and when in hospital learns''-of -real love from her nurse, whom she cannotsee on account c.-l the bandages on her eyes. The -nurse proves to be the wife, and when she again meets the man. .whom-both had thought dead, she effects the reunion of man and wife. “A MAN OF IRON.” MONDAY NIGHT. The story of the play deals with the domestic strife of Philip Duhran, the 1,r03i Master, whose loveless marriage has shattered the cherished happiness that he sought in the union with the beautiful CJa.ire Bowdoin. Claire, the pampered daughter of a scheming social climber, is "infatuated with the worthless fortune-hunting Prince Novakian, who discards her for a wealthier debutante. Claire, seeing the. foolishness of her vanity, 'turns to her husband, who is cold to her advances. There is much tense drama in development of tiie story from this point, leading up to as impressive a duel as lias -ever been screened. Barrymore’s supporting cast is excellent. Mildred Harris, erstwhile wife of Charlie Chaplin, is splendid as Durban’s wife, a role which leaids her an unusual opportunity to display her varied talents as a dramatic actress.
