The Secretary reported that satisfactory and generous replies were re- ! ceived from various Associations and l gymnasium instructors written to for j names of good boys for the tourna- [ ment and the names were read and 1 approved. The Match Committee reported that ,they had matched the following for four two<-minute rounds each: Bantam weight.—l'app (Levin) v. Hoskins (Wanganui). Feather weight,—Fromont (Wanganui) v. Potbury (Palmerston North). Light weight.—Downes (Palmerston. North) v. Forward (Wanganui). Light weight.—Herd (Wanganui) v. Robertson (Palmerston North). Middle weight.—Terry (Levin) v. Napier (Wellington). Welter weight.—O'Brien (Palmerston North) v. O.'Keefe (Manawatu). The star fight will be a six-round contest between Em Morgan (amateur light weight champion, of New Zealand) and W. Gray (light weight champion of Wanganui). A-subsidi-ary contest will be between Jim Evans (bantam champion of Horowhenua) and S. Martin (champion of Wellington). Arrangements are, well advanced for the tournament on May 26.
