Some delay lms been experienced in increasing the power of 2BL, Sydney, and 2FC, Sydney, but is is now announced that both these stations will bo employing 15,000 watts imput at the end of this month. During the past week the loudest Australian station heard in Wellington has been -IQG, Brisbane. That station has improved wonderfully in tone but is still behind 188, Sydney, in that respect. The Brisbane station donot deliver the. music from t t|he piano satisfactorily.' The piano crashes and spoils the effect of even" the best songs. A cornet solo last week was strikingly clear and pure in tone. Among the choicest offerings from the Brisbane station were Mr. Arthur Jordan’s “Sailor’s Grave,” and 1 ‘ Cross’n" the Bar.” which the eminent English vocalist contributed last Friday night in- connection with the fund for the sufferers resulting the foundering of the steamer Dorngo. Air. Jordan made an effective little speech in favour of the fund.
