' SMALL PIGS—LOW PRICES. There was a very poor yarding of sheep at Tuesday's sale, and prices were not high. Small pigs, too, brought low figures, but porkers and baconers sold rather well. The cattle section showed a slight increase in numbers, prices averaging those realised at recent sales, fat cows fluctuating between £3 10s and £6 ss, the outside price being shown at £7* 12s 6d. Prices were:— \ Cattle.—Three-year steers £5 17s 6d, 18-months heifers 30s, forward empty cows £3 15s, fat cows £3 10s to £7 12s 6d, vealers £2. Sheep.—Light fat wethers 24s Id, 2-tooth and 4-tooth ewes 18s 6d, lambs 5s to 14s sd, fat ewes 4s, sd. Pigs.—Weaners 10s to 12s 6d, light stores 12s 6d to 17s 6d, porkers £2 10s to £2 16s, choppers £2, light porkers 355, baconers £3 6s.
