BABY CARNIVAL.

CHILDREN'S FANCY DRESS Bi\, TO-NIIOHT. This evening the Children's Fancy Dress Ball will take place in the Druids' Hall. The (ball has been organised by the Town Batoy Committee of the local .branch of the Plunket Society, to raise funds on .behalf of their candidate (Master lan Hudson). No pains have 'been spared by the committee to make this evening the night of nights for the children and judging by the interest aroused among the little ones there is every reason to believe there will'toe a bumper house. An excellent supper will be provided for the children while ice cream, soft drinks and sweets will be obtainable. Dancing for the children will be from 7.30 p.m. to 10 p.m., after which there will, toe dancing for adults. The price of admission will be Is for children with a concession for more -than two from one family and 2s for adults. The committee for the Farmers' Baby will hold a basket social iin the' Parish Hall on Tuesday evening. The admission will toe gents Is; ladies a basket with supper for two. A street stall will toe conducted on Saturday by the Town Baby Committee to raise funds on behalf of their candidate. Donations of puddings, oakes, pickles, jams, eggs, etc., for the stall will be thankfully received toy the committee. All donations for the stall can toe left at Mr T. C. Thwiaites' shop.
