BABY CARNIVAL.
FANCY DRESiS BALL.' A practice will be held in the Druids Hall on Thursday afternon at 3 o’clock ■to prepare the Children for the Fancy Dress Ball which will take place in the Druids’ Hall on Friday evening next. Thd Town Baby Commifttae are the organisers of the Ball and they gr© leaving no stone unturned to give the little ones a big night. From reports to hand a large attendance is anticipated and arrangements are toeing made accordingly. Dancing is to commence at 7.30 p.m. and continued until 10 p.m., after which the adults will take the floor. On Saturday the Town Baby Goin,rnlttee will hold a street stall as an effort to raise funds on behalf of their candidate. Donations of saleable goods and articles will toe thankfully received, and can toe'left: with Mrs T. C. Thwaites, the secretary. The Fanners’ Baby Committee held a shop day on Saturday and report good business. During the day competitions were held, the winners being:—Dinner No. 51, S. Richardson; cake, No. 42, Miss M.
